  • February 2005: THOR web site unveiled
  • September 2003: AASI campaign
  • March 2002: THOR Validation campaign over the DOE ARM site in Oklahoma
  • 1999-2000: THOR instrument built
  • 1998-1999: THOR instrument designed
  • 1997: Laboratory experiments of diffuse halos in artificial clouds
  • 1996: Demonstration of feasibility: offbeam lidar signal detected by tilting the transmitter of a ground based lidar so that the receiver measured offbeam signals.
